Recipe: Noodles, Gravy, & Meatballs

A favorite dinner at our house is Noodles, Gravy, & Meatballs.  Recently, I tried using Concannon Vineyard's Cabernet Sauvignon as the wine both in the dish and as a drink with the meal.  Note that I am a BzzAgent and I received a mail-in-rebate to cover a portion of the price of the wine.

1 bag of egg noodles
1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
2 cans of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup red wine

Cook egg noodles per directions on bag.  Cook ground beef or ground turkey in pan.  Drain any liquid from meat.  Add soup, stir, and cover.  Let simmer until soup darkens.  Pour in wine and sour cream and stir.  Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Pairs well with green beans and a glass of red wine!

Recipe: Marinated Flank Steak with Concannon Cabernet

Marinated Flank Steak is a favorite at our house.  It got even better when paired with Concannon Cabernet!

1 flank steak
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar

Score flank steak and put in ziplok bag.  Pour in other ingredients and mix/massage.  Put in refrigerator and let marinate for 4 to 6 hours.  Cook on the grill and then slice thinly at an angle.  Enjoy with Concannon Cabernet for a special treat!

*Note: I am a BzzAgent and received a mail-in rebate to help offset the cost of the Concannon Cabernet wine.
